"We don't use the body to get into a pose,
we use the pose to get into the body."
- Bernie Clark
Welcome to the home of YinStillYoga…
My passion for yoga began in 2008 and so far, during that short journey, I have found that through yoga, we have the ability to make positive changes in our life. The way we think and perceive our bodies, minds and circumstances become our truth. And it is in the practice of yoga where we learn to support, love and nurture ourselves, practice self-care each day for our minds to find balance, our bodies to harness strength, and our hearts to be open. Since 2012 I have been studying and practicing yogic wisdom – a body of knowledge on how to have a full and expansive yoga practice... physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Over the years, my amazing teachers have taught me much, including how to pass this wisdom on. It is through this knowledge that I then began teaching in 2013 and where I hoped to have empowered everyone in class to learn & to grow… and ultimately making yoga accessible for us all. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned yogi, my classes offer a space in which you can deepen your practice and draw upon your personal needs. I offer an all-levels Hatha Yoga class, which is the practice of physical postures, designed to align, balance and calm your body, mind and spirit. I also offer a Yin Yoga class that compliments your active life – a receptive, quiet, meditative style of yoga that cultivates stillness and embodies physical and mental spaciousness with longer held poses. Up until March 2020 I was teaching in-person classes at The Lewis Center in downtown Courtenay as well as at The d’Esterre House in downtown Comox. Currently, I am teaching live online virtually via Zoom. Please refer to my 'class schedule' tab for classes I am currently offering. Please reach out to me if you are interested in attending a class... Welcome and Namaste. |
